Job Title: GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Immediate Supervisor: Director of Marketing and Communications


GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The St. Louis Area Foodbank seeks an innovative Graphic Designer to join our team. The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing high-quality materials that communicate the mission and work of the Foodbank to a variety of audiences. Working with stakeholders across the organization, the Graphic Designer will ideate, plan, design, and execute designs for use across all mediums (print, digital, website, social media, etc). Working in WordPress, the Graphic Designer will ensure that the St. Louis Area Foodbank website is always current both in content and in function. This individual will track performance analytics and utilize those metrics to optimize content ongoingly. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creation and editing of video and photography to help convey the mission and vision of the St. Louis Area Foodbank.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Web Management

  • Update and format of stlfoodbank.org (Wordpress site) including blog posts, engagement opportunities, events, calendar, regular page maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on web analytics and performance of stlfoodbank.org and social media channels.

Digital and Printed Materials

  • Develop and design digital marketing materials including emails, display ads, social media graphics, etc.
  • Develop and design graphics/landing pages for use on stlfoodbank.org.
  • Develop and design printed materials as requested by stakeholders. This includes brochures, flyers, signs, banners, etc.
  • Develop and maintain digital toolkit for use by external stakeholders.

Branding

  • Own and enforce the St. Louis Area Foodbank brand and content guidelines with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist internal stakeholders in ensuring that materials bearing the SLAFB name are on brand and clearly convey the vision and mission of the organization both visually and in content.

Photography and Video

  • Transform raw video footage into stories that can be used to convey the mission and vision of the Foodbank.
  • Serve as photographer/videographer as requested.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is graphic design, web development or similar relevant area.
  • Expertise working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
  • Proficient in editing WordPress themes and management of plug-ins.
  • Experience compiling and analyzing social media reports (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc).
  • Video editing skills.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint would be a plus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing a multitude of projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background checks and drug screening.
