SLAFB is currently seeking a systems administrator for the selection, installation, configuration and system management of information systems to support business operations. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting our internal staff by analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of issues. Qualified candidate will be a technically astute professional who enjoys working with people.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation, and management of strategic and tactical technology plans, policies, procedures, and standards to support business goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the support, monitoring, management, maintenance, reporting, and accuracy of multiple information and communications systems and projects, including servers, voice, data, and operationaloffice automation.
  • Act as a technical resource to help resolve end-user issues.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; make repairs and corrections where required.
  • Manage logical and physical layout of wiring, networks, servers, telephone resources, etc.
  • Manage and monitor performance of various technology vendors according to the terms of the agreements in force.
  • Responsible for the acquisition, support, maintenance and inventory of technology systems.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and conduct technology-based training courses, as well as providing training on MS Office products and other data base applications as needed.
  • resources to new hires and to decommission past employees in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for technology disaster recovery and contingency planning.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing the Information Technology budget and measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in a technology support role
  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology, business or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office 365 required
  • Prior experience managing Active Directory required  
  • Prior experience with Windows Server 16 a plus
  • Familiarity with Audio Visual and Telephone Systems a plus
  • Microsoft and/or Cisco certification helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proven project management skills preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to keep confidential information required
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check
