General Description/Position Summary
The St. Louis Area Foodbank is adding a Philanthropy Coordinator to our dynamic and growing Philanthropy team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have a customer-service mindset. The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for assisting the philanthropy team with administrative and gift processing tasks. The Philanthropy Coordinator is also responsible for building capacity with SLAFB supporters through friendly communication and timely interactions. This position fulfills a critical role by working to ensure successful, efficient processes within Philanthropy operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Processor
o Process incoming donations through various mediums
o Contribute to the timely preparation and mailing of donor acknowledgment receipts and letters.
Perform data integrity projects as assigned such as updating constituent accounts for address, email, phone and other data elements.
Provide support to operational tasks such as filing, meeting prep, donation invoicing, tribute and memorial program, matching gift processing, and ordering basic office supplies.
Assist philanthropy staff with volunteer and donor stewardship
Respond to donor inquiries, via phone, email or letter to get needed data or clarify information
Assist the Database Specialist as needed with data queries and reports
Assist the needs of the VP and managers, prioritizing work with the director
Maintain confidentiality regarding constituent records, transactions, data, research and communications, respecting the anonymity of each constituent
Administration and organization of tax credits
Other duties as assigned
o As directed, assist with fundraising activities such as special events, cause marketing campaigns, external speaking engagements
Qualifications
Previous administrative and/or nonprofit experience preferred
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience preferred
Passion for the Foodbank mission and the ability to demonstrate SLAFB's Core Values
Excellent organizational skills
Acute attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft applications and other web-based applications required
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, ability to handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work.
Positive attitude and passion for helping others
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check
