SLAFB is currently seeking a Mobile Programs Coordinator to develop and implement the Foodbank's mobile distribution program to address hunger and nutrition in underserved locations. The selected candidate will also focus on partnerships with educational and health care institutions to improve the health and performance of their students, clients and families. The ideal candidate will have previous experience coordinating volunteer activities including administrating mobile markets. The selected candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift and moves product up to 40 lbs., both in and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and coordinate all mobile distributions with a focus on mobile markets, food fairs, education and health care partnerships.
    • Develop, implement, and measure the success of all mobile distribution activities.
    • Assist in executing and updating annual work plan, including budgets, calendars, goals and tasks.
    • Monitor and collect all data from recipients for necessary reports.
    • Partner with other program team members to incorporate SNAP outreach and nutritional elements in mobile distributions.
    • Assist with the development and distribution of program promotional materials.
    • Incorporate volunteers into mobile distribution models and develop standardized orientation, training and supervision.
    • Partner closely with Agency Relations team to identify sites who meet established criteria.
    • Serve as the Foodbank's point-of-contact for mobile distributions and attend meetings with other organizations and groups, providing orientation to new and current partners on policies and procedures.
    • Partner with product sourcing, the warehouse, volunteer center, and drivers to ensure proper quantities of food are available for each distribution and resources are available for delivery.
    • Address client and community concerns as it relates to direct distributions, working with the Director of Community Programs to address more significant concerns or problems.
    • Assist foodbank staff and volunteers with direction and support.
    • Partner with Foodbank leadership to craft, refine, and execute the Foodbank's Strategic Direction.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree from an accredited university required. Emphasis in Non-profit Administration, Public Health or another social service-related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years previous experience in program management with partners and volunteers of varying socio-economic backgrounds for a non-profit organization strongly preferred. Prior experience administering mobile programs a plus.
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse individuals and groups on complex community issues.
  • Passion for the Foodbank mission and the ability to demonstrate SLAFB's Core Values: Stewardship, Teamwork, Agility and Respect
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other web-based applications. Experience with or the ability to quickly learn Tableau or other mapping software required.
  • Ability to think strategically while acting tactically.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have reliable transportation with proof of insurance and be willing to travel within a 125-mile radius.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.

This position requires standing for extended periods of time and the ability to lift and move product up to 40 lbs., both in and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions. Special events and other projects related to this position may require evening and/or weekend work. Meeting attendance may require overnight travel.
